Enhancement the Productivity of Processing Category Potato by Biochar

The application of biochar may enhance the yield potato for different processing categories. A field experiment was conducted at Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka-1207, during period from November, 2020 to April, 2021 find out response on comprised Potato varieties (3): V1: BARI Alu-29 (Courage), V2: Alu-28 (Lady Rosetta) and V3: Alu-25 (Asterix) Biochar level (5): B0: 0 t ha-1, B1: 2.50 B2: 5.00 ha-1 B3: 7.50 B4: 10 ha-1. study laid in a randomized complete block design with 3 replications. results showed that amendment could category potato. total marketable gradually increased increasing level. also revealed viz., canned, chips French fry progressively advancing irrespective except dehydrated category. In case yield, 5 ha-1performed superior than other combinations produced 19.50 21.30 ha-1which are 18.54 36.45% higher without biochar. combination V2B4 maximum canned (8.10 ha-1) (10.09t but V3B4 made significantly highest (9.03 (5.70 potato, whereas, did not produce any However, production.
